What does Sabika do?

It keeps your gold and silver product prices in line with the market price, with one click or automatically on a schedule you choose, with safeguards against costly mistakes.

How is a product's price calculated?

(weight × karat gram price + making charge + extra costs) + margin + VAT (if enabled), then rounding

The karat gram price comes from the global ounce price in SAR, multiplied by the karat's purity (for example 0.875 for 21k). The making charge can be per gram, a fixed amount or a percentage of the metal value, and you can set a minimum price for each product.

Where does the gold price come from?

The global gold and silver price, confirmed against a second, independent source every five minutes. If the sources disagree or the price is stale, nothing in your store changes until a reliable price is available. The "adjustment to the global price" setting lets you account for the gap between the global price and your local market.

How often do prices update?

You choose: every 15 or 30 minutes, every hour, every 3 or 12 hours, or once a day. You can also update any time with "Update prices now".

What if the price jumps suddenly?

Any product whose price would move more than the limit you set (10% by default) waits for your review and approval. This also catches a wrong weight or karat.

Does it change products that are on sale?

No. A product with an active sale price is left alone until the sale ends.

Which karats are supported?

Gold: 24, 22, 21, 18, 14, 12, 10 and 9. Silver: 999, 925, 900 and 800. You can adjust the purity of any karat if your manufacturer uses different ratios.

What about products with options (such as sizes)?

In this version the app doesn't change prices of products whose options have different prices; it shows them as "held" so you can price them by hand. Support is coming soon.

Does it change anything besides the price?

No. It writes prices only, and only for the products you link. It never touches names, stock, images or orders.

Does it add VAT?

If your store's prices are entered including VAT, turn on "Add VAT to the price" and set the rate (15% by default), and the app adds it to the price it writes.

How do I get started?

• Set your general pricing settings: margin, rounding and VAT.
• Link your gold and silver products and set each one's metal, karat, weight and making charge.
• Review and apply the new prices, then turn on automatic updates.

Is there a free trial? How much does it cost?

Yes, there is a free trial. Plans and prices are on the app's page in the Salla App Store, and billing is handled by Salla.

What happens when my subscription ends or I uninstall?

Updates stop and your products keep the last price the app wrote. When you uninstall we delete your store's data as described in our privacy policy.
